Gemma is from Barcelona, Spain, and currently resides in New York. She does a little bit of everything, from drawing to sculpting, despite being best known for her funny comics. She includes not only Mochi, but also herself, her husband Peli, and Mochi’s adorable dog brothers Huey and Duey, also known as the Twinchis, in her dog comics.

The dog owner’s Instagram and Facebook followings have risen to over 293k followers and over 160k fans over the years.

Gemma began drawing the cartoon 157 of Gemma in 2012 as a way to escape from her Architecture final thesis, but she stopped in 2013 when she moved to New York to pursue her dreams of being an architect and a visual artist. In 2014, however, she started drawing Mochi comics and posting them online for all of us to enjoy.

The Twinchis are Mochi’s rescued doggo-broskis who are extremely engaged and curious about the world. Unlike Mochi, who loves a nice sleep.

If you’re considering adopting a pug after reading these comics (I can’t blame you; I’m thinking about it myself), there are a few things you should know about this breed. After all, it’s easier to be prepared than to be caught off balance by a big surprise later on.

According to Chloe Tejada of Canadian Living, she was unaware that pugs follow their owners around everywhere when she got her dog Rosie. It’s all over. Pugs are the clingy boyfriends and girlfriends of dogs. Albeit a lot cuter.

Pugs, sadly, aren’t the healthiest dogs on the planet. They have the potential to develop a slew of serious health issues. From food allergies to respiratory issues to requiring you to care for their eye and nose folds, they have you covered. So, if you plan to raise a pug, you should be aware that it will necessitate a great deal of upkeep. Often, pay attention. And then there’s the cleanup, because they shed a lot.
