People often say that the book is always superior to the film. The bulk of this is due to the film’s omissions. Artist Katie Knudson of Orlando, Florida, is drawing Harry Potter movie scenes that didn’t make the films, and probably even J.K. Rowling, to help Potterheads visually revisit their favourite moments from the series. Rowling would be excited to see them.
“As I grew up, my mother read Harry Potter books to me.” “Even the most recent one, which was published while I was still in high school. It created a unique bond between the two of us!”
When someone told Katie of the scene where Luna walks up to Harry and declares her love for him, she got the idea for her fanart project. “I just thought it was a fantastic scene and felt compelled to draw it right away. It was so well received that I realised I wasn’t the only one who had been missing out on these forgotten and deleted scenes As a result, I just kept looking for them and drawing them!” The artist makes every effort to include famous movie scenes that are pivotal character moments in his work. “Anything emotional or formative to a character, such as Neville’s parents’ situation. If that kind of character growth is missed, it makes me sad.”
“From preparing and sketching the scene to posting it online, it can take anywhere from 10 to 20 hours,” Katie said. “I try to devote as much time as possible to getting them as accurate as possible to the text.” Continue scrolling to see this amazing collection of Harry Potter fanart.
