When you get to know someone well enough, you feel obligated to make a comic about their adventures. The same thing might happen to the animals you live with.

Sarah, a 25-year-old Texas illustrator with two young birds, is a good example of this. Blue Boy, a little, dominant parakeet, and Chicken, a loving but dimwitted nymph cockatoo. All of these comics are about these pair of parrots.

‘The stories are primarily written from Chicken’s perspective, with little emphasis on humans, hence the term “Chicken Thoughts.” I like birds’ intelligence as well as their irrationality. Sarah said, ”I’m sure we’re the same way.

The stories are mostly based on genuine pet behaviours, especially when Sarah’s little birds do something hilarious. Some of my readers have requested that I produce cartoons about birds so that they can appear as special guests. “They tell me a little about themselves, and I draw them in my way,” he stated. The cartoons are humorous but not superficial, perfectly expressing the experience of living with parrots and their antics.
